Joya is a residential centre for Listening Training, established in 2002 by Paulina Aarts, a Dutch psychotherapist and documentary maker who trained at the Tomatis Listening Centres in Paris, London and Sydney. Settled in Nelson she would like to offer an affordable, and supportive place for those who want to energize and optimize their lives.

The centre is located in Nelson, one of the most attractive places in New Zealand, with three National Parks just around the corner. Although the focus is on Listening Training, the centre also offers various courses and individual psycho therapy, dietary advice, art and braingym classes, and massage.
